For Fall/Winter 2024/25, Portuguese designer Kolovrat delivers a bold and inventive collection that pushes the boundaries of traditional fashion. Known for a signature avant-garde approach, the designer offers layered styles that combine an eclectic mix of materials, colors and textures, creating a dynamic interplay that captures the eye.
Deconstruction takes center stage, transforming classical pieces into unexpected forms. A button-down shirt reimagined as a straight-across top challenges conventional norms. Trompe-l'Å“il effects add a surreal dimension, with pants printed on pants, playfully blurring the line between reality and illusion. Oversized details bring high drama to the runway, with standout elements such as a single voluminous balloon sleeve, an exaggerated puffed dress and a rigid sash boldly structured over another dress.
The color palette remains strikingly vivid and yet, controlled, with black, white, red and cobalt blue setting the tone for a cohesive narrative. Transparencies and draping infuse the collection with an air of fluidity and sensuality, while graphic prints ground the pieces in a visually captivating aesthetic.
Kolovrat’s collection is an ode to experimentation and artistry, offering a contemporary wardrobe for those who are not afraid to make a statement.
The collection was showcased at ModaLisboa (Lisbon Fashion Week), For Good Edition.
